Childrens Museum

by: Childrens Museum of the Highlands

The moving date of the Children's Museum has arrived!
Last Day at Lakeshore Mall: Saturday, April 13, 2019
Tentative
Re-Opening Day in Downtown : Saturday, June 1, 2019

The museum is a great place in town to take your kids both to learn and have fun. In addition to the exhibits, they've got all sorts of events. The Children’s Museum opened in December 1990, and had over 9,000 visitors its first year. They focus on hands-on exhibits of all shapes and sizes to create a space for kids ages 1-12 to play and learn. The museum offers kid-sized activities and areas so children can explore the world around them and expand their imagination through play.

If you haven't heard though, there is some bad news. As of April 13, 2019, the Children's Museum will be closing its Lakeshore Mall location. Don't worry though! They'll only be closed a few weeks, until June 1st, 2019 when they open back up in Downtown Sebring.

Not only is the downtown location a much larger space for the museum, but there will be a whole host of new exhibits added in the newly renovated space! Your kids can look forward to a full sized Fire Engine cab, airplane, and even a race car. Make sure to stop by the Lakeshore Mall location before they close and mark your calendars. A short wait later and all sorts of brand new fun and imagination, not to mention all the old favorites, will be ready!

New Address will be:
219 N. Ridgewood Drive
Sebring, FL 33870
